I just had to share these pics I took this eve of my 5 year old daughter doing her "snow dance" (something she said she learned about at school). It was soooo cute and sooo funny.
As with a rain dance, you're supposed to perform a dance in order to bring on precipitation...in this case, snow.
First you have to put on your pjs inside out, then drop 3 or 4 ice cubes into the toilet, then do the dance.
Wonder if it'll work?
Sorry everyone, but no photos today and perhaps not for the next couple of weeks.
I had a few ready to go (some reallly cute ones of DS and I had a great letter C contribution) and then my network connection went out. Turns out it actually isn't the network--I'm using DD's computer right now--but a hardware problem and so I'm going to have to send mine out for repairs. BUMMER!
If I can find a way to download, I may be able to contribute, if not, I'll just enjoy looking at the rest of yours until I can get back in action. Regardless, I'll plan to keep taking the pics.
All the best.
Oops! I forgot to add text to clarify my last post. I couldn't resist adding those photos, though they were taken when my little one was 7 months old. I am pretty proud of them and I've never been able to share them with anyone till now. It was all done with natural light in our master bedroom. Now, my little one looks more like this...
And this...
OK. Downloading troubles are over. Yay!
These pics are a day late...but better that than never...
Yesterday, it seemed that I was mostly interested at the close-up view...looking at color, shape and texture.
The most fun I had was in my daughter's room. Upon first glance it looked almost as if a small hurricane had hit. Normally, that would do it for me, but this time, I had my camera in hand, and being more in the photography mindset these past few days, was able to look past the mess...at least for a little while.
What initially caught my eye was a wonderful, fluffy pile of princess costumes, fuzzy and satin pillows and stuffed animals...and the colors were right out of a candy shop.
This last photo is, obviously, a shadow. It really caught my attention as we were getting ready to leave the house for some errand or another. The shadow was cast by a couple of flowers made by my daughter that were hanging from the rear-view mirror. I was drawn both to the clarity of the shadow and the texture of the stitching and the leather.
